We also offer a web based e-mail system to access any of your POP3 accounts at your site. There are two ways to get to it. One, for the domain owner, and one for perhaps co-workers, or family members. It is easy to use and great for when you are away from your PC, and need to check your e-mail. All you need is a computer with internet access.
If you have co-workers that you want to give access to their web based e-mail, but don't want to give them access to the control panel, then simply tell them to access their web mail like this:
http://yourdomain.com/webmail
This URL will take them to a log in area.. they just use their e-mail address as the user name, and then their mail box password. That will take them right into their web mail account for their mailbox, and no others.
To reach the web mail securely, please e-mail admin@superior-host.com for the correct secure URL for your domain. This varies by each web server, so it is best to have you contact me for the correct information for you.
As the site owner, and the person with access to the control panel, you can also get into your web mail by going into the control panel, and clicking on the mail menu, then click the Add Remove Accounts link. You will see all the mail boxes listed, with a link to delete, read web mail, and change the mailbox password. You would just click your mailboxes read web mail link and log in.
The first time a e-mail accounts web mail feature is used, you will be asked to set your preferences. To do this, simply log into your web mail, and it will take you to the web mail preferences page.. once set, just hit the save button, and it will take you to the main web mail page.
Once inside your web mail area, you can also add your address book from outlook express and/or netscape. This way, the e-mail addresses that are in your desk top PC will be here too.
Personally, and we all have our own opinions, but I prefer the HORDE web mail as compared to the NEO MAIL version. I just like the way it replies to e-mails better then the other. It is a personal preference, so look at both, and perhaps test them and see which you prefer. Then, when you need to use it, you know which one you want to use.
