Our web hosting resellers may want to have their own domain, name servers, to keep our name away from their own hosting clients. This is usually a good idea, but since we put all of our web hosting resellers, and their clients on our no-name name servers, the customer will not see superior-host.com in any of the whois information, or through any secure server certificates either.

For those that want to have their own name servers, there is a one time set up fee of $30.00 . This covers the manual set up of the domain name servers. There is currently no monthly fee for having your own name servers if you are a web hosting reseller for us.

If you are a web hosting customer, and want your own name servers, just because you can.... there will be a monthly charge of $30.00, as well as the $30.00 set up fee. The reason is simple, we have to use two IP numbers to give you your own name servers. Normally, we would be able to use those two IP numbers to host two more hosting clients.

We do not charge resellers a monthly fee for their name servers, because they are bringing in more hosting customers under them, and that in turn helps us grow. For the small reseller and non-reseller web hosting client, there is no real reason to have your own name servers, so we need to charge the monthly fee to make up for the lost revenue that we should make from those two IP numbers.

We as a host have to pay monthly for IP numbers too, so we can't just give them away, if they are not needed.

If you are a fast growing reseller with more then 25 web hosting accounts, please don't hesitate to ask us about getting your own name servers.
